Notice of Special General Meeting in November 2022
Dear Cherries Trust Member,
This notice is to advise you of an upcoming Special General Meeting of the Members of AFC Bournemouth Community Mutual Limited (also known as the Cherries Trust) called in accordance with the Rules 32 to 36 of the Society.
Anyone wishing to stand for election must communicate their desire to do so, along with a nominator and seconder, plus a short paragraph explaining what you hope to bring to the Trust Board. It is important to note here that all candidates must be full paid members of Cherries Trust, as must all nominators or seconders. There is no limit to how many people a member may nominate or second, according to the FSA election guidelines.
Nominations must be sent to enquiries@cherriestrust.co.uk. Candidate forms can be download here.
7 days prior to the election, November 16th 2022, nominations will close and a list of candidates and their statements will be made available to allow for proxy voting.
On the date of the election, November 23rd 2022, a vote will be held where full members only are permitted to vote candidates on to the board. The election will be held via Zoom or other video calling means. Proxy votes will be added to each count.
On completion of the election, the successful candidates will be announced and the election will close.
Subsequent to the election, the board will meet to decide who will hold which position, which will then be communicated to members, AFC Bournemouth, and the wider fanbase.
Kind Regards,
Stuart Read, Secretary of the Election Committee
