Fan Advisory Board Application Details
In March, AFC Bournemouth announced details on the Premier League’s introduction of the Fan Engagement Standard (FES). This is a requirement that all Premier League clubs must meet, and is designed to reinforce commitment to ensuring long term, meaningful engagement with supporters.
As part of this, there is a requirement to produce a Fan Advisory Board (FAB). The FAB will comprise of representative supporters, along with a Board Member from the club, and other nominated club staff members. The FAB will aim to meet twice a year.
The club have now emailed supporters with the make-up of this Board, which you should have all received, or will be shortly. This make-up will comprise of:
- 1 representative from the Cherries Trust Board
- 1 representative from the Equality Focus Group
- 6 Supporters via application/selection process of which one supporter will be a member of a club international group
- Club Chief Executive and/or President of Business
- Supporter Liaison Officer
- Head of Community Sports Trust
This will give 6 supporters from the wider fanbase the opportunity to apply and be selected to join the FAB, which will cover important matters surrounding the club, such as:
- Heritage assets
- Facility re-development
- Various engagement
- Communication strategies
- Wider promotion of our brand and image

We would like to reassure you that applicants will be reviewed not only by the club FAB representatives, but by the representatives from Cherries Trust and Equality Focus Group.
