Cherries Trust Launch “Meet Under The Clock” Newsletter

The latest innovation from the Cherries Trust has been released – a Members Newsletter. This follows on from the recent release of a new Member’s Handbook and further extends the offer to Trust Members.

Stuart Orchard, the Trust’s Communications Secretary said, “This has been a little while in the planning. We aim to release an edition on a quarterly basis at first, whilst it evolves to meet the desires of our Members.

Probably the biggest decision was around what to call the Newsletter. Several ideas were tossed around for the title, but we settled on ‘Meet under the clock’ – a reference to the iconic clock that was positioned above the terraces at Dean Court before the redevelopment of the ground. Having chosen a name we looked at giving the Newsletter its own identity. We had a couple of options to choose from and settled on a variation of the recently released Cherries Trust logo.“

The newsletter will be delivered directly to Member’s by email using the Trust’s standard membership platform to keep costs low. The first edition of “Meet under the clock” has a brief message from the Chair, an overseas fan’s highlights of a recent away day, details of the Fan Engagement Standard that came out of the Government’s Fan-Led Review of Football and the Club’s response to it.

Orchard continued, “Having spent time sorting out delivery and style, the key to the newsletter’s future success will be the content. As with all things, that will be driven by our Members’ views and hopefully their contributions. The first edition has a feedback option for Members to tell us what they would like to see.”
